In Autumn, the entire Blisswood Forest turns wonderful shades of orange, red, and yellow. The temperature has begun to dip overnight, but it is still plenty warm during the day. It rains a lot during Autumn, but there is often something peaceful about it, rather than overwhelming.

Marshy Border The Marshy Border of the Swamp Basin Territory has a near-constant flow of water across its grassy surface, encouraging the growth of lots of aquatic plant life. Birds and prey are plentiful here as they take refuge from the Badlands, but be mindful of the currents.

Sandy Meadow This part of the Southern Badlands is fed by the nutrient-rich Swamps, and is therefore surprisingly prolific. Prey often head this way to avoid the harsh temperatures and eat the rare plants that grow. Because of the proximity to the Swamps, the wind is less in this area and therefore provides a reasonably safe and solid place to dig dens. |

Streamside Plenty of streams, both large and small, travel across the Swamps. This particular part of the territory is situated where one of the large streams breaks off into smaller brooks. Shallow and calm pools have formed here and there--but beware when the Spring water levels rise. |

Rugged Wastes The swamps end abruptly when they meet the rocks of the Rugged Wastes located on the Southern outskirts of the Arid Expanse. The land is flat, but the rocks are huge, and there is little dirt to host plant life. Legends have spread about the origin of the abrupt appearance of these rocks on the horizon, and whether or not they could be the ancient remains of a fourth Blisswood mountain. |
