In Autumn, the entire Blisswood Forest turns wonderful shades of orange, red, and yellow. The temperature has begun to dip overnight, but it is still plenty warm during the day. It rains a lot during Autumn, but there is often something peaceful about it, rather than overwhelming.

General
- Staff reserve the right to address anything we deem inappropriate. Please respect other members, and if you have an issue with anybody or anything, please bring it to the attention of the staff in a PM.
- One account per member, please.
- There are no humans at Blisswood, and the inhabitants have never heard of or seen them (or their dwellings).
- Local landscapes include forests, mountains, deserts, grasslands, swamps, and rocky plains.
- Members can create dragons, equines, and wolves.
- Please review our Picture Policy before uploading any images.
Posting
- There is a 200-word minimum set for in-character posts--but we welcome and encourage more content.
- Please post using only black text, without major coding; however, you're welcome to use colored text when your character is speaking.
- Please respect post-order during threads, within reason.
- Use only one tense and point of view in your posts. Do whichever feels most comfortable for you. You can switch it up between characters if you must, but please refrain from switching halfway through a thread. *Past-tense and third-person are preferred.
- BW is a literate-level RPG. As such, please ensure that all in-character punctuation, spelling, and grammar are largely correct before you submit a post. If your post does not meet these requirements (mistakes that are highly distracting, etc), you will be asked to change it. If the patterns of error continue, your post content may be PMed to you and deleted.

- All In-Character threads are to be labelled as either [open] or [tagged]. Anybody can join Open threads, and only those tagged can join Tagged threads. (example: A Walk Through The Woods [Open]).
- When a thread has not had any new replies within two weeks, it no longer counts as "active". If a thread has not had any new replies in six months, it will be archived.
- Characters can be in 3 "active" threads at one time (except Alphas, who can be in however many threads in their own territory, and 3 out of territory).
Characters
- To create a character, check the Character List. If your desired name is free, head to the character creation board. Please copy and paste the base character sheet into a new thread, that is titled as only your character’s name.
- Every member at Blisswood starts with 3 free character slots per species. Each additional character slot will have to be purchased at the Bliss Shop, to a maximum of 6.
- There are no cross-breeds at BW at this time.
- Characters do not age at BW once they become young adults--though your character can age if you want it to.
- Because of the variety of species in the Blisswood Forest, there are many different age-ranges; however, age-ranges cross over species. (example: a 100-year old young adult dragon and a 2-year old young adult wolf will be of the same maturity level)
Gems, Special Characteristics, and the Bliss Shop
- Posting and participating in games and events here at BW earns gems. With those gems, you can make purchases in the Bliss Shop. More ways to earn gems are highlighted in the shop.
- Eye-colour and fur/skin/scale colour can be any style at BW; however horns, wings, jewelry, and other special characteristics have to be purchased.
* Disclaimer: dragons can be created with special characteristics that wolves and equines do not have, such as spikes and wings (no purchase necessary).
Powers
- There are multiple powers at Blisswood. Characters can go to the River of the Gods to request one. Powers are gifted by the Gods of the Forest as they deem fit.
- There are five levels of power, with each level outlined here. Each character starts at power level one.
- Leveling-up powers can be done in one of two ways. Level-ups can either be purchased from the Bliss Shop, or they can be earned for free with In-Character posts. If you choose the second option, make a thread here with your characters name, what power they have and their current level, why they deserve to be leveled up, and links to all posts with unique examples of practice.
- There may only be one creature of each species at level 5 in a single power at any time (example: there can only be 1 wolf, 1 dragon, and 1 equine with level 5 Lava). If you a level 5-powered creature and go inactive without explanation, your character is subject to lose their level-5 status. Upon your return, you will have to re-earn level 5, as long as nobody else has reached it already.
Breeding
- To have a brood, a breeding token must be purchased from the shop.
*Alphas in their own territories do not need a token.
- The possible brood sizes for each species are;
Wolves: 1-4 pups.
Dragons: 1-3 fledglings.
Equines: 1-2 foals.
- Creatures can breed in any season (though Winter and Autumn can have complications).
- To have two creatures breed, please read the Breeding Form and follow the guidelines to get started.
- No graphic mating/force mating is allowed on the general site.***(see below for details)
***Forced mating note: The only time forced-mating is permitted is if BOTH Rpers agree.
If you feel that it is needed for your Rp, please put [warning] in the title of the applicable thread. YOU MAY NOT RP OUT THE FORCED MATING. YOU MUST FADE TO BLACK, and the fade MUST happen before it gets violent. Keep it PG-13 at all times.
If you choose to have forced mating as drama fodder, note that viable babies are extremely rare, but you may still apply for babies with a purchased litter token. The maximum amount in a forced-brood is one.
